Reloading Brass

Reloading Brass

Reloading brass comes from us, outdoor and Law Enforcement ranges; sorted by size, then the steel, Berdan and aluminum cases removed. The bullet casings are then wet and dry tumbled before the range brass is packaged for sale.

NOTE: Website inventories are updated regularly but may not reflect our curent stock due to the delay between receiving the brass and processing it, especially for once fired brass for sale.

Important Brass Use Information (New and Once Fired)

  • ALL brass must be thoroughly inspected and resized. Inspect product for correct caliber and primer size, as incorrect caliber or “bad” brass may ship occasionally.
  • Carefully inspect and resized/decap brass WITH YOUR DIES prior to loading. You will need to FULL LENGTH RESIZE prior to loading. US Reloading Supply is not liable for damage to your equipment or weapon under any circumstances.
  • Some brass sizes may include CRIMPED PRIMERS. When working with crimped cases, care must be given to ensure the primers are removed correctly and swaged. If you do not understand the difference between these types of cases, please contact us for information prior to ordering.

OFB Basics
Once Fired Brass for reloading is NOT NEW brass, and is an ammunition/firearms industry term to loosely describe used reloading brass cases.

  • Although called “once” fired, the actual number of times fired is unknown.
  • We service indoor ranges and law enforcement ranges, and regardless of popular opinion from our competitors, they both have brass that has been shot more than once. This is why we never claim our brass has been shot only once we know better.
  • OFB may have slight imperfections, such as minor dings, dents, or bent mouths. Most flaws can be easily removed during resizing or upon first firing.
  • Our range brass includes commercial and military casings.
  • To learn more about OFB such as the recycling process, read our article “What is Once Fired Brass.”
